These fancy vintage Platinum on 14 Karat Gold and Diamond Edwardian / Art Deco cufflinks are quite Spectacular.  With the dynamic patterns engraved in their faces and the sparkling diamonds, they will stand out strikingly on your cuffs.  The unusual, intricate geometric design rewards close examination and looks like a Compass Rose drawing on a map.  It fairly explodes from the centers of the links and the varied texturing, not to mention the diamonds, makes them shimmer with movement in the play of light.  Highly detailed, the cufflinks are also layered for depth and dimension, with each layer in turn framed and set off by the designs in the one below.  The diamonds are set in textured, raised double squares that surmount two of the faces, standing in brilliantly for the star form of the compass rose that centers the other two.  The central circles are slightly above "crimping" that follows the octagonal shape of the cufflinks and set slightly below the crimping, designs around the edge further accent the octagonal shapes, adding contrast, interest and dimension, framing them beautifully.
The cuff links are signed on the (yellow gold) back of one face on each link, "SAMUELS 14K" and on the back of the other, "PLAT.[O]N 14K".   (Last photo.)  They acid test for 14 karat gold.
The links measure about 9/16" point to point and weigh 5.6 grams.

The cufflinks are in Very Good vintage condition with just expected light surface scratches, dirt and a little patina or tarnish due to age.  As you can see in the photos, there is a slight golden cast around the edges in some areas, which may be tarnish or the underlying yellow gold showing.  They have a lovely vintage patina; cleaning and polishing are left to the buyer's discretion.
