Antique 1920's Art Deco Solid Sterling Silver Ring is set with a

Copper Bearing Quartz gemstone. This copper bearing quartz is all natural and guaranteed as such.
This natural quartz has HUGE BEAUTIFUL GLEAMING DEPOSITS of NATURAL NATIVE COPPER.
Copper Bearing Quartz is a rare form Native Copper occurring as a natural mineral. Specimens of native Copper Bearing quartz are rare because the previous miners crushed and smelted the copper that they mined. Many fine specimens were processed and destroyed. This copper in quartz is most likely from the Keweenaw Peninsula Michigan known for the finest volcanic copper in the world. The natural veins of copper were formed by extreme pressure deep within the earth millions of years ago. This Native Copper in Quartz is a Rectangular Cabochon Cut. Cabochon refers to a gemstone that has been shaped and highly polished instead of being faceted. The small darker area near the bottom of the gemstone is not a chip but is just a darker colored quartz. Aside from some naturally occurring surface pitting and crazing this copper in quartz gemstone is otherwise in
GOOD CONDITION
and is free of any chips, nicks, or breaks.
The shoulders of this ring have beautifully done hand engraved & milgrained details.
Milgrain details look so beautiful, appealing and interesting because the beaded pattern is able to make the area resemble the edge of a coin. A specialized jeweler's hand tool is used to create an interesting texture that is said to resemble tiny beading or embroidery

Due to differences in measuring devices and the way certain types of rings fit these rings should only be sized in person by your local jeweler. Sizing by your local jeweler is relatively inexpensive and you will have a ring that properly fits your finger. All size 9 rings are not the same. The ring may fit on a mandrel and measure as a size 9 but the way the ring is made, the way the ring has been enlarged or reduced, and the finger type you have may make it fit like an 8 or 10 or worse. Have your sizing done in person for a proper fit.
