This 1956 Ford Fairlane Club Sedan is a beautiful southern classic car and it's a great runner and driver! The Fairlane was the top Ford trim level in 1956, and featured additional chrome around the exterior of the cars. 1956 was also the first year that Ford utilized 12 volt electrical systems which provided more reliable start ups, especially on the power V8s found under the hoods. This particular '56 Ford is believed to have been originally purchased new in Virginia and has spent the past 15+ years in the southern United States. Powering this beautiful Fairlane is a 292 Cubic Inch Thunderbird V8 engine with a single 4 barrel carburetor that pushed out 200 horsepower in its day. The 292 V8 is hooked up to a 3 Speed Manual Transmission with Overdrive which makes for a really fun 50s cruiser to drive. Dual exhaust exits through the rear bumper and gives this 56 Fairlane a nice throaty sound. The bumpers are the upgraded accessory front and rear bumper guards. The chrome and brightwork around the exterior of this classic Ford is in fantastic shape and shows well. The exterior has been refinished in Raven Black which was the original color that this car was ordered with. This 1956 Ford sits on 4 wide whitewall bias-ply tires with full Ford wheelcovers which give this car a nice classic exterior look. The interior on this Fairlane Club Sedan appears just like it did back in 1956. The Two-Tone Dark/Medium Gray Cloth Bench Seats look great and are protected under clear plastic seat covers. The dash, steering wheel and door panels all appear to be in their stock configuration and they have a great 50s look. The instrument cluster is outfitted with a 120 MPH speedometer, fuel gauge, temperature gauge, and electric clock, as well as oil pressure and generator indicators. If you're looking for a stock 50s era Ford, this 1956 Ford Fairlane Club Sedan is the car for you. Give us a call today!
